NHC/PPF IPS Building Co. Ltd, later NHC and PPF Investment Co. Ltd) is a joint venture product by NHC and PSSSF (formally PPF) to diversify their investment portfolio.

The Housing and Pensions Company Limited was incorporated under the Company Ordinance Law (Cap.212) on 6th June, 2002. Housing and Pensions Company Limited (HOPEC) formerly called NHC/PPF IPS Building Company Limited (IPS Company) and later known as NHC and PPF Investment Company Limited is a result of the 1995 joint efforts by the National Housing Corporation (NHC) and Public Service Social Security Fund (formerly Parastatal Pension Fund - PPF) to invest in a prime 12 storey commercial property with a lettable space of 6,164.91m2 located on Plot No 2081/40 Samora Avenue/Azikiwe Street in Dar es Salaam City. These efforts were prompted by the need to refurbish the building with a view of realizing a high return on investment.
